Shrinking education budgets mean that teachers lack funds to purchase all the items they would like for their classrooms. Our Wishing Well program provides some of those items through gifts from Atwater families.
How it works
Each year we invite every Atwater teacher to send us a Wish List of desired classroom items. Parents and guardians purchase an item and bring it directly to the classroom teacher. This way, families can directly improve their children’s classrooms! If you are tired of cleaning up too many toys, the Wishing Well is a great gift idea to share with grandparents and other relatives!
To donate an item, follow these 4 easy steps:
1. First, find the name of your child’s classroom teacher or a special subject teacher. To view that teacher's list, press Ctrl + F, type the teacher's name into the white search box in your browser and press enter. (You may have to click the "next" button in the search box to go to the teacher's list.)
2. Notify the Wishing Well coordinator, Julie Bussen, by email ((juliescott @ wi.rr.com) and indicate the item(s) you are donating. This is to allow us to keep the list updated and avoid having two families purchase the same item.
3. Purchase the item and drop it off at school with the teacher.
4. Save your receipt since the donations are tax-deductible. Donations are non-returnable.
